Interior designer RJ Thornburg works from his studio and shop, bahdeebahdu, in Kensington, alongside partner Warren Muller who makes legendary sculptures and light fixtures from salvaged everyday objects. Thornburg creates custom interiors and designs products for many clients, including the “Huck” chair shown here. Designed originally for the Westin Philadelphia’s Hip Hotel Room as part of a showcase of local design talent, “Huck” is made locally and is upholstered in Kevin O’Brien’s “Muir” fabric, which is a faux bois chenille jacquard designed and made in South Philadelphia. (See #50, Woodgrain Velvet Decorative Pillow, for more on O’Brien.) RE
